  Do Ghanaians now have any moral right to pressurise Prez Akufo-Addo to sign the LBTQ+ Bill into law on the pretext of LBTQ+ being repugnant to our cultural values? Does the so-called marriage of a 63-years old man to a 12-years old minor in the name of traditional tenets of worship promote our cultural values? Is it not a crying shame that some prominent traditional rulers are even supporting and indeed applauding this fragrant act of child abuse? Where are the loud-mouthed human rights and child rights advocates? We Ghanaians seem to be simply a confused lot. The international community will not fail to mock and subject us to abject ridicule.

  Why you didn't find out yourself whether the story is true or not before petition IGP, Mr Sosu ? According to the traditionalists, the girl is married to the deity but not 63 year old man as being speculated or in the public domain and she can take a husband when she becomes of age. Per the explanation given, the marriage ceremony that took place was a symbolic of a marriage to the deity and she can marry a man of her choice when she attains marital age. If what they said at the press conference is true then why this whole noise ? I need to be educated further.
