It should have been Tema to Akosombo, where Nkrumah had almost completed a port, which would facilitate movement of cargo up North via the Volta. Thr initial plan, was to terminate at Akosombo and renovate the existing infrastructure. However, we decided to build a new facility at Mpakadan, I believe to award contracts to "preferred contractors" at the expense of already existing infrastructure and spend more
