In another, we have to look internally to raise revenue since we have been shut out of the capital market and that was the reason underpinng the introduction of additional taxes on VAT on electricity and emissions levy. As the head of the Economic mismanagement Team, tell us how you are going to balance these policy options, viz a viz a waiver on essential goods and services like "Heal KATH" project. Alhaji Dr Timothy Bawuliar must pay out of pocket if really he has any intervention to make. And even then, we reserve the right to question the source of the money from his pocket, because he is a public servant and lives off our hard earned tax Cedis. There have been reports of medical equipment which were donated by philanthropists, attracting demurrage because beneficiary health institutions couldn't afford custom duties. So why must KATH be an exception? Or is it because it's Asantehene's initiative and NPP has its root from the Matemeho saboteurs, of which Otumfuor is permanent feature? A typical case of divide and rule, if KATH is given a preferential customs dispensation. John Mahama built his numerous hospitals without any Chief's assistance.
