illegality of the bill passed by Parliament.

The president will be doing illegality if he assents to Homosexual bill now, unless the PNDC-sponsored 1992 constitution is immediately amended and ratified to remove the abridgment of private citizens motion to Parliament imposing or appear to impose financial charges to the consolidated funds.
We repeat, the constitution forbids private citizens bill from imposing or appear to impose charges on the consolidated funds.
It must be noted that by arresting, prosecuting and eventually sentencing individual defendants ( homosexuals)the government will be incurring financial charges on their behalf and ultimate upkeep, so financial charges are imposed on the government’s purse.
Therefore, until the necessary amendments are made to the constitution, the bill is more or less dead on arrival.
Those who took the matter to the Supreme Court for interpretation are right on the course, and until the court decides, every citizen should hold their peace.
