The real symbol of Asante should be that of the ants “nkrane” and NOT the hedgehog. Another word in Akan for a group of antes is “K)t)k) “. It has similar pronunciation but different. Ants are dark , tiny and numerous. (That’s the physical attributes of Asante)

That’s the original symbols for Asantes and not the hedgehog. Why are you k)t)k) (antes) but using Kotoko (hedgehog) symbol ? Is it not deceptive?

Kente was known as Awentoma. I have videos of interviews by Oheneba media, Asante bloggers who went to Adanwomase and Bonwire. They acknowledged how asantehene at the time sent apprentices to Bono Botouku (Gyaman, Zanzan district) of La cote d’voire to learn the art of weaving the “awentoma” kente cloth.

Look, Asante is never the originator of anything in Akan culture . Did you know Kumasi cultural centre was designed by a Bono royal from Bono Manso Kingdom . He was called Kyeremeh Kyeremateng. He’s the ancestor of Alan Kyeremateng, the politician.

Most Akan abosom are in Bono. Akan calendar, Akan artefacts such as Akofena (state sword) which is used in swearing oaths of office, Adinkra symbols are all from Bono . I’m daring anyone to challenge what I’ve written so far.
