What immediately crossed my mind when I chanced upon the photo was that, I hope the idiot is not trying to tell the world that she, as an MP, proudly facilitated the entry of the young people in the picture, into the Police Service. If that be the case, who were her contacts or collaborators in the Police administration who made the otherwise unlikely entry possible. The searchlight can go on and on and cause unnecessary problems for all concerned. We all know that in a difficult socio-economic situation, these backdoor interventions are justifiably or wrongly made, but the key word in doing so is to maintain absolute discretion about it.

One wants Ghs15,000 to get into the Fire Service, the 2nd one needed GHs17,000 to get into the Immigration services! Their brother who apparently was earmark for the police service and came with his sister said he is being asked to bring GHs32,000 but wants his sisters to get help first. I told them if I had such amounts I’ll use it to set them up in useful businesses and gave them their trotro fares back to where they came from. Ghana is doomed.
