What Pius Enam Hadzide said has now been echoed in no uncertain terms by Campaign for Islamic Leaders which has thrown its weight behind Bawumia.

That tells me all along, if I, a Christian, vote for Bawumia, my vote will pave the way for the Islamization of Ghana.

That implies there will be introduction of strict adherence to and interpretation of sharia laws and sharia courts, establishment of more Islamic schools and possibly an Islamic university, building of more mosques in many parts of Ghana, the possibility of radical or political Islam with extremist views on our door step, establishment of Islamic banks, invitation to radical Islamic scholars from other parts of the world into the country to lecture our people thereby endangering the fragile we enjoy in this country, possible invitation to the poor and needy in our communities to become Muslims in return for material benefits and preferential treatment of some kind, appointment of muslims to top positions in the government, the possibility of awarding juicy state contracts to muslims, coupled with the influence of Islamic countries particularly Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Turkey, etc, on our soil, the possibility of Ghana becoming a member of an international islamic organisation, just to mention a few.
So indeed there is a hidden agenda for islamization of Ghana if Bawumia is voted president of Ghana.

Unfortunately Bawumia himself has lost credibility with Ghanaians as incompetent, dishonest and unreliable. He lacks integrity. You can't trust Bawumia for whatever he says. He can promise anything you can think of but cannot deliver anything he promises. That's an undisputable fact.

The last straw is for Bawumia's muslim brothers and sisters to play the religious card. They are not wise. A wise person will not play the religious card when you know you are in a minority because you will need to rely on the Christian majority vote to take you to the Jubilee House.

Seeing what the future of Ghana will look like if I give my vote to incompetent Bawumia, will I then still go on and give him my vote?
Absolutely not.

The Christian community didn't initiate this debate. The Muslim community did.

So the conclusion of the matter is, in the coming elections,

Let Muslims vote for a Muslim president, and

Let Christians vote for a Christian president.

Besides, Bawumia himself knows he is a woeful and abysmal failure who has largely contributed to the present economic hardship facing Ghanaians even though Ghanaians hailed him as the "Economic Messiah" we had been waiting for, who, with his Ph D, would at least bring about economic turnaround.

Unfortunately he has betrayed the confidence and trust we reposed in him.
