Such indiscipline among some of the Military personnel started when Jeremiah John Rawlings used very young Soldiers to seize power and formed the AFRC. Innocent people were taken to various Military Barracks and the Osu Castle to be shaved with broken bottles and tortured. Some women were stripped naked and whipped at their genital parts. Jeremiah John Rawlings had little control of the Soldiers who put him there. Basically, Boakye Djan was in control and didn’t care about what Soldiers did to the poor and innocent civilians. Only God knows how many young women, including the wives of some men who were raped at the Barracks and Military Checkpoints. How many men were tortured and killed? I feel happy when some Soldiers who were involved in such wicked acts have horrible deaths, especially through incurable illnesses and crazy car accidents. Those days were very horrible. I am glad Covid took care of the unconquerable Jeremiah John Rawlings, and Boakye Djan never had peace until he died recently.

Come on!! DRUGS or SUBSTANCE abuse is all over the place in our society. I would like to suggest a general approach of testing for Substance Abuse across the board starting from our Educational Services, parliament, civil service, judiciary , police ,military , etc.. and the results will be very interesting indeed.
