Our roads, schools hospitals & clinics, banking system, information system, tax system, judicial system, and administration system remain what it is despite the landings of those jets. We don`t need them.

Aircrafts could land on any paved surface as long as there's enough room to accommodate the wings. They could land on water in an emergency.

Aircrafts could land on any paved surface as long as there's enough room to accommodate the wings. They could land on water in an emergency.

Planes land on dirt, icy and muddy clay runways everyday. It's no news that an Airbus 380 landed at KIA and oh special accommodations had to be made for that to happen. It's a one off. KIA is not an airport for big plane like the 747, 777, A380 etc. The airport isn't even temperature controlled. It doesn't even have air-condition in the common areas for such as an inferno that Accra is.
