NPP has a lot of work to do if this is the perceptions of the Ghanaian electorates especially NPP's strongest region, Ashanti. Even though on paper the NDC did not take part in the By-Elections, they provided financial and resources support to Aduomi and urged their members or supporters to vote for Aduomi to make parliament at par. This is one reason why Aduomi scored 43%..Secondly let us compare the personalities of the Late John Kumah and Lawyer Boateng. They are different people with social appeal and other qualities that make them to be liked more than the other. Thirdly compare the figures of NDC in the 2020 parliamentary elections to that of the NPP. Assuming all factors remain equal and the NDC had contested in this By-Elections,the Independent Candidate would have performed poorly whilst the NPP would have still won the elections by some 53.26%.
