  The depreciation of the Cedi is driven by the high demand for the USD which in turn is as a result of our insatiable demand for imported goods and consumables.
  
  We can reduce the strain on the cedi if we re-engineer the economy in its structure and super structures.
  
  We must stop paying lip service to our mantra of developing a productive economy and deploy every available resources to making such a policy a reality.
  
  The fate of the cedis has nothing whatsoever to do with wage demands by public sector workers.

Some of us even prefer to invest in the dollar by buying dollars increasing the demand. Let’s starts patronizing made in Ghana goods like local rice, made in Ghana sandals etc. This will also to creat jobs for our youth and reduce unemployment. I am not sure why we are not preaching this to all Ghanaians to understand the need to patronize Ghanaian goods to assist control demand for the $.

If they stop that and focus on Ghana l think it will help the Shithole country. Y’all live in Ghana and price everything in $s and the stupid government is sitting there not doing anything about it. Ghanaians talk so much about the $ than even US citizens do! Why not focus on y’all country!
