Though a public office holder keeping large sums of money at home raises suspicion of corruption, that doesn't amount to automatic corruption until proven. If no one is able to prove that she embezzled state funds through auditing and investigations she can't be punished. Unfortunately, that's what many are ignorant about. Looking into contracts and procurement can identify possible leakage at the ministry which can be linked to this. Infact, asking her to explain the source may only fall under assets declaration in my opinion. For ordinary citizens holding large sum of money you can't arrest them to explain the source if you have no evidence of wrong doing. In the military regime they would punish outright, but in democracy it works differently. Everything must be backed by facts and evidence and not opinions, emotions, and propaganda. That's what many don't know and insult learned judges. A judge can't declare the accused person guilty just because they appear guilty or the case look so. Evidence is the language!

Simple calculations will generate how she came by that money. The fact that all investigations into the source not where she keeps her monies but how a minister for sanitation could accumulate such amount of monies.
We are a country filled with jokers and criminals. None of our politicians is very serious about governing.
An elderly man like Mr. Sam Okudzeto shouldn't attempt such low level politics. Where any person keeps his or her monies is a private issue. What is not a private issue is the discovery that a minister of state has milions of different currencies in her house. How much does she make in a year? How much does her husband make in a year? How much do they spend in a month? These are simple calculations she can work with investigators silence critics questioning the sources of her accumulated cash.
Ghanaians are not stupid, they want simple answers.
