Besides visiting friends and family there’s hardly any economic activity or tourism in kumasi to warrant any international airlines flying there except maybe Hajj or flights to other African countries like Nigeria

Also, the lengthening of the runway is primarily to allow for planes to fly further or with more payload. Not necessarily larger aircraft.

Because people from all walks of the West African coast come to do business in Kumasi, but because there’s no direct flights to Kumasi they mostly transit through Accra.
