We have free energy from the sun ( the source of energy), we are here complaining about DUMSOR. Assuming we have politicians and engineers who can think to make every house in Ghana have solar panels on rooftops. Assuming half of our vehicles use solar as fuel. Why can't we have a policy where all government buildings are roofed with solar panels? Aside the free energy that we might get from it, it can help reduce global warming that comes from burning fossil fuels. Unfortunately, because we engage ourselves in unnecessary arguments and politicking, we think these feats are impossible to achieve.
It is difficult for me to say that this noble man is speaking nkwaseasem.

Any wonder the white man continues to say “they are superior human beings?” The simple reason is: they find solutions to human problems. They will NEVER sit ALOOF and complain about the cold weather/SNOW, hence the Central Heating System in their homes. Communication to far and near, movement of goods and human beings, provision of good drinking water, roads, schools, housing etc etc all to make life here on Earth easier and comfortable. But what do we see on our part of the world? Sheer stupidity! We complain just about everything as if God didn’t give us BRAINS at all! Yes, the white man came to our shores to take away our resources etc as we have been saying over the years. I guess the white man TOOK ALONG our Brains as well! 67 years of self rule and and we seem to say “Our OLD CLOTHES fit us EASIER than the NEW”. Any exponential increase in anything left by the White man? At best, gone from BAD to WORSE. What do we show for the last 67 years: good roads, schools, how many hospitals have we added to the ones left behind for us? Any wonder we have ONLY ONE International Airport to show for all these years! It’s time we started to think about Ghana but not NDC/NPP nonsense we hear about every day. Yes let’s continue to sit DOWN and complain about the SCORCHING SUN and the CONTINUOUS downpour of RAINFALL as PROBLEMS!
I first traveled on Kumasi-Accra Road in 1966 on my way to Secondary School in the Eastern Region. Contractors were doing some work at Atwedie. Today, contractors are still working on this Kumasi-Accra Road. All Governments since 1966, have had a bit to do on this ROAD, construction still on going! “Accursed be the tongue that tells me so!”

Sadly, we complain about the youths of today. Standing to greet the president might not be in the the construction, it is a sign of respect for the seat the president occupies. Even in our culture, standing to greet an elderly person or a chief shows the. HOME and the proper upbringing the one who stood had. Showing respect cost nothing. I understand that the body guard of Akuffo Addo who ordered the chiefs to stand up to greet the president is from the Ga tribe and he also doubles as a sub chief in the greater Accra region. If it is true , then he is a disgrace to the Ga people and even a worm is better than him . Who is he to be- little the chief. He is no body except for his being a security guard for the president. The regional house of chiefs should summon him to explain why he has disgraced himself and the Ga people who believe in their culture and social values. Our religious bodies and the useless council of the elders should advise Akuffo Addo to show respect to our chiefs because he has disrespected them on several occasions without any reactions from our traditional leaders . Will Akuffo Addo show the same disrespect for the Asantehene or the Okyehene? I don’t think that the Dormahene will subject himself to such outrageous orders . Our chiefs and elders must be accorded the respect that they deserve. Another History graduate. Ohene Agyekum performed so poorly at the A Level examinations that he got admission to read Modern History and other two useless subjects at the University. After graduation, he had not occupied any important position till Rawlings appointed him to do his dirty jobs for him. After Rawlings, everybody remembers this character for using eggs and schnapps to invoke curses on party faithfuls. He has never said any sensible thing and we don’t expect him to do anything sensible. Please ignore such characters and let’s move forward. Nonsense
