If tourists don't want local food, the hotels have to provide expensive food. Meaning that they have to go to shopping mall for potatoes, milk and cheese. This increases the cost.

The covid levy and 1 or 2 taxes/levies should be removed. Ultimately electricity and land/building materials and fuel and dollar and harbour costs should come down to truly make make life less expensive in Ghana.

Many youth today don't know that many years after independence many families could not afford to enjoy rice and chicken except on Christmas or new year day. Children walked barefoot to school for ten years, from Class 1 to Form 4. Parents could not afford to buy full tubers of yam. At some market places bulbs of onion are sliced for sale.etc. And today, a hundred cedi note cannot purchase anything meaningful. When are we going to enjoy our " gold coast" Ghana?

Some of these taxes are also levied on receipts when you purchase goods from the stores. What do they use all the money for.

If so then what a bout
1. Abidjan which is next door, prices are stabilize like they are from a different planet, meanwhile they don't have have what we have in terms of natural resouses
2. Saudi Arabia only has oil but they don't pay taxes on anything, that have only oil, and they make sure the citizens benefit from their natural resourses.
Now Almighty Ghana's resourses see uncountable but what do we see, leaders stealing like there us no tomorrow under the name of democrazy., and interestingly, they fool some of us to believe that they are here to help all in the name of democrazy,
The sad thing, we allow just a few of about 300,000 people to hold we 30,000000 to a ransom.
