Don’t twist history. Okomfo Anokye didn’t trick Akan states but lied to the other small Ashanti states to give up their stools. Consequently, this action enabled all the small chiefs to pay allegiance to the Asantehene and consider him the head. Other Akans living elsewhere didn’t give up anything, this is why other Akans are independent from the Asantehene and never part of the Ashanti kingdom. History is meant to be learnt by future generations so lying really hurts our memory of things.

Rather he was perfectly adroit in convincing the other Akan states into giving up some of their powers to a greater power who will reside in Kumasi as the head of all the new state which was named as Asante. By that stroke Ashanti became a very powerful federation with an equally powerful federating units like Juabeng, Askore, Ejisu, Kumawu etc.
This is something so called 'educated' African head of States have not being able to do in 50 years.If you want to know why the currencies of most African states cannot stand the US dollar that is it. The Sea of Reeds is a wet area a hundred miles long in sandy soil that is dotted with lakes. It was made into the Suez Canal connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Gulf of Suez so modern shipping didn’t have to go around the Horn of Africa near Antarctica to get into the Mediterranean Sea or the Atlantic Ocean.

The so called RED SEA is still called REED SEA in Egypt becasue is full of REED!

The Hebrew word yam means 'sea', and the word suph by itself means 'reed', e.g. in Exodus 2:3; hence, a literal translation of yam suph—with the two words combined in construct state—yields 'sea of reeds'.

So in Hebrew, as stated in EXODUS 2:3, YAM SUPH means SEA OF REEDS and not SEA OF RED!
