Ghana should not pay a penny to TFL. Diplomats have the right to drive to any part of London in pursuant of their diplomatic duties. The congestion charge prevents them from doing that.This is illegal!!

Zoroaster,I repeat to you that Ghana will not pay a penny of the amount demanded by TFL. If the TFL has the power to take our embassy to court it can do so.Our embassy operates under the Geneva convention ,period.

I believe the charges varies with the location of the embassy edifice and the number of vehicles that the embassy uses and the number of hours an embassy openy per day.

Some FOOLISH IDIOTS living foolish lifestyles. I own two cars when I was in Ghana, but dont even own a bicycle in the UK. Why? Because you have an efficient transport system. I was in the High Commission last May and saw the fleet of lavish cars parked and was shocked. compare that foolishness to the Egyptian and German Embassies which is just a stone throw away. You dont see those foolish lavish cars parked. We are just TOO MORONIC. The cost of our passports is more than two times that of the England and most Africa countries. WE ARE JUST TOO FOOLISH. BLOOD IDIOTS

The City of London is divided into zones(1-6) and zone one , the city area attracts congestion fees, ostensibly to lower the volume of traffic. Ghana Embassy is in Highgate (zone 2 or 3) outside the congestion zone. To avoid these congestion fees, our Embassy staff should as a matter of urgency try to limit driving our vehicles to the city area. At best they can drive to zone 2 area , pack the car and join a bus or train to continue the journey( my opinion though).

If the embassy is sensible enough, they would opt for the electric cars instead. That's what others do. Electric cars don't attract ULEZ and congestion charge. Simple
