Today, all secondary school fees, including boarding fees, have been made free. So, Mr Ibu, please tell me the significance of granting a scholarship to a student who is not paying fees in any manner. Sometimes, we major in the minors and minor in the majors. Many folks forget the British Govt left a whooping 200 million pound sterling for Nkrumah ( the incoming Ghanaian govt) for development. Part of the agreement for the operation of this program was to compensate northerners after the British realized upon a visit to the Northern territories that the area was so undeveloped.

Nkrumah and his folks instead of using the funds for the intended purpose, they opted to misapply the funds and created this scheme of Northern scholarship.
Many questions will always arise; would northerners had preferred the massive infrastructural development for the northern territories as proposed by the British to the skewed misapplied funds for the northern scholarship?
Was this the beginning of corruption in Ghana?

They did their part and gone. Africa leaders are NOT leaders’ period. Galamsey has destroyed all our waters, and killed all the fishes in our rivers. Where are our leaders in the country? The country has become like animal farm. Chinese and Indians are in all our villages doing galamsey. Where are the security officials? None of our institution is working. 90% of Ghanaians are corrupted including the police, judges, chiefs, ministers, DCEs, politicians. Corruption is in the blood of the citizens. The country has no future. Ghana is a very rich country GOLD COAST but, citizens are begging for common water, and food. WATER IS LIFE STOP GALAMSEY, CORRUPTIONS, AND MISMANAGEMENTS, and focus on industrial technologies like what Korea, Japan. God has blessed Ghana with abundant of natural resources but the brains are not working. Africa must produce for themselves, NOT to go to America or China to beg. Just imagine a country where you can get up today and change your identity thrice. What do you think about that?

We are our own enemies. When NPP introduced the Ghana card, what did you hear. We can't continue like that, and we have to bite the bullet and change the system no matter what else, we would be singing the same song fifty years to come.

Who should do what for us in Ghana, ourselves so, why can't we be truthful and set a system covering all of us?

These advance nations like the US, Britain, Japan, and the rest are livable because of the systems they have in place which monitors everybody, and we have to do the same else we should forget it.

The Northern Territories and Ashanti were joined to the Gold Coast Colony in 1902 and if there were such money why didn't the British government use that money to develop the Northern Territories from 1902?Please according to Mumuni Bawumia, President Nkrumah 's last Minister of Local government, before lndependence, the North sent a delegation to the British government asking for a development fund of 30 million pounds after lndependence. Who was to pay that money? The British government or Ghana? That request was not granted. Please see page 61 of Memoirs of Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia. The purpose of the scholarship was to help the poor farmer's children through secondary education and probably, beyond. FSHS is a scholarship for every Ghanaian child so, what then becomes of the cocoa scholarship? I see FSHS as a vass improvement of the cocoa scholarship but that's my opinion though. Dr Nkrumah did it when were only 7,000,000 and we're still praising him. Nana Addo has done it when we're 33,000,000 and we say what? I don't know how some of these comparisons are done though but we must be very objective about it.

Someone will come and insult me without giving any facts here because Dr Nkrumah was his father's brother's uncle.....

If the decision to award the Scholarships rested solely on Headmasters , then , they used such to amass wealth.
How many children of cocoa farmers at Opoku. Ware Sec Sch during the era of the Headmaster A.K . Adu enjoyed the CMB Scholarships? The children of the rich who didn't know how to plant cocoa seeds and had not been to cocoa farms and had seen only the tress and pods at the Cultural Center in Kumasi and Akuafuor Hall in Legon enjoyed the scholarships. Corruption in Ghana cannot be eradicated till Jesus comes back.
