The decision by the coach to drop the old/senior players from the BS is in the right direction . Infact it was long overdue. Football has evolved over the last few years whilst Ghana continue to live in the 90's. If the coach is able to carry out what he has proposed, majority of the fans will support him . In the last England call-ups, 5 new players have been selected. For the first time , English fans support their coach Gary Southgate .It doesn't mean that on any match day all the 5 will be on the pitch. The regular players will start but the youngsters will be introduced gradually .That's what all prudent coaches do. Phil Foden was not a starter for City , but now a regular starter . In Ghana , you will see a senior player having a bad day and for 90mins ,this player will not be changed. Meanwhile our young and hungry players who are on form, will be sitting on the bench . That must also change. The team can never belong to anybody and the coach must make this clear to all the players. No one is indispensable in the team.

If you like, fill the whole team with 15/19 year olds, and you'd still have the same team problem that see us struggling since 1982: individual selfishness, attitudinal, indiscipline, lack of focus, pride and overbearing ego.

Black stars aren't nationalistic, patriotic and triumph-motivated enough. Their objective is just the representation. The average Ghanaian is satisfied with mediocrity.

It is the same attitude and discipline problems which saw us being the first to achieve independence in sub-saharan Africa, inherit so many mineral resources and yet the worst right now in Africa, with the dirtiest Capital City! We relish individual glory and limelight over national prosperity so we're ready to destroy in order to achieve what we want.

How come we were ahead of Egypt which had 3 Afcon trophies, Cameroun 2, Nigeria 2, Ivory Coast none; ask for the stats and you'd understand my viewpoint.

It is NOT a matter of older players not performing so they MUST be changed to give way to the younger ones. All other teams are much more serious and love their countries more than we love Ghana!

That means bringing in reinforcements especially in the attacking/striking department. I think it would be disastrous if we have to rely on the current pseudo strikers.

Absolutely nothing because if we have these so called experienced players in our team and we performed so poorly, then those senior players have failed and should be phase or sack from the team!!

These players are there for their pay cheques and nothing else!

Take all of them out and let use the junior ones, the younger ones and let us build a team around them for the next five years and we ll eventually bounce back!!

We should bear in mind that, rebuilding a new team with younger players wldnt yield any results now but within a period of 5 years, we ll reap the fruits of our patience!

Building this team around old players like DEDE and co is like swearing in an OLD MAN as a chief, u have just postponed another FUNERAL!
