  Our information is that offloading of 60 per cent shares of some SSNIT hotels started in 2018. This was the time Rock City Hotel owner, Bryan Acheampong, pitched. The question to ask is was he then a cabinet minister of the ruling party. I am amazed at the conduct of leaders of the Trade Union in this matter. How did SSNIT get involved in hotels. What happened to the sale of the Western Hotel Resort at Takoradi and particularly, the Star Hotel in Accra? Was the Trade Union in comatose then. More recently, a Merchant Bank in which SSNIT owned ninety, per cent shares was sold to a prominent Ghanaian businessman. So why the ugly noise about his current off loading of majority shares.

Labout and all interested stakeholders are represented on the board of directors. Therefore institutions where they represent has no mandate to call SSNIT to order or interfer with management with threat of demonstration. You can go to court if aggrieved. Rock City is also a company made up of shareholders. Its not owned by Npp. Not even Bryan owns the company. He's only a shareholder. Being Ken's brother is irrelevant. He has not poers to open his mouth big.
