  That was his greatest mistake. He should have allowed multi-party democracy to continue and let the people decide but he made life difficult for himself and the country

  And there are those who see Nkrumah as some "super-human". How do you allow your party members and supporters only to vote in an election in a new country? These are some of the unpardonable mistakes that led to his downfall but trust me, others will come and rubbish the article as full of malice.

  Exactly so, and that was the beginning of his notorious Prevention Detention Act and his dictatorial One-man rule. He in fact caused his own downfall. It’s always been the trend. As a common enemy, all forces were united, in this case against Colonial Rule. With power in their hands, they then begin to jostle for positions. Look at what JJ Rawlings did to his own conspirators!.

  Nkrumah lied to Ghanaians. We Africans can not rule ourselves. Institutions in Africa continent is not working comparing to Europe, and North America because of corruption, and mismanagements. Africa leaders are cursed with corruption, selfishness, greediness, stupidity, wickedness to their own black people. Africans are lazy to produce period. If China can produce to feed her people why can't we do? Let us copy from the wise people Chinese, Koreans, Japanese. Go for industrial technologies, stop galamsey, and corruptions, focus on science, technologies to develop. We Africans are too lazy to use our brains. Africa is very rich BUT the brains are not working that is why we are poor. We can copy from China and Korea. Wise up Africans

  Also, what are some of the systems he implemented for future generations to follow? He should have laid a solid foundation with systems, but he thought Ghana belongs to him and can do whatever pleases him.
  
  Look at countries like the US, Canada etc, they have systems in place that cannot be toyed or tampered with as any attempt to subvert the systems comes with heavy penalty such imprisonment. Did Nkrumah do something like that and why?
  
  Till NPP came to power, a Ghanaian can get three passports in a day because there is nothing to check for such fraud, and the funny thing is our passport office was being controlled by some "rats" known as "Goro boys" make sense?
  
  With proper systems in place, we can govern ourselves, remember that honesty should be the battle cry.
