  Having said that, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, majority of vendors do not know nor have these certificates. Now, ask how did he get himself into this mess. We both know how some of our compatriots are....they will ARGUE WITH OFFICIAL AUTHORITY AND EVEN THREATEN THEM WHEN ASKED FOR THEIR PERMIT AND CERTIFICATES AUTHORIZING THEM TO UNDERTAKE ANY JOBS ETC. In Ghana if you are ignorant about any law or regulations do not argue etc. 'PLEAD FOR TIME TO REGULARIZE AND COMPLY' ...these bureaucrats are human and 'enjoy seeing citizens respect their power'. you know this and i know this. thats why we have the saying; 'i'll show you were power lays'. so i assume and suppose reasonably, this guy went 'rushing' with the Environmental Health Officers so they showed him were power lays. Otherwise apart from serious breach of the laws and regulations of state, how many duty bearers have time for the court process.

  Poor no friend. I wonder how many food sellers in Koforidua, Kumasi, Accra, Tamale or any of the big towns and cities health check before they can sell. If medical clearance is vital, then all drivers should also be required to test twice a year, since they interact many people.

The law has taken its course and we hope it runs actively in the entire country.
