I don't get that NPP Parliamentary Candidate@ DCE for Amemfi West.
Security officers don't need permission from any one including the President to do their mandated job. The 1992 constitution is clear , the criminal offences acts are also clear. Ones a crime or offense is being committed in any place in the Ghana, they can move and arrest the culprits. We have used politics and greed to destroy our country. What the security services must do now is to ensure they act professionally by not engaging themselves in illegality , extortion etc.
But it must be clear to the politicians and the illegal miners that security officers don't need an operation vanguard, galastop, galahalt etc before arresting illegal miners.
The law is clear. It only a Ghana we worship these greedy people who incite people against state security officers.

Ask yourself this simple question, "who is a soldier in Ghana", and the simple answer is "a Ghanaian civilian who have had a military training". Our soldiers are recruited from the civilian population which means what to you?

Some of us see soldiers as "do all" as if our soldiers are immortals. The guy who issued that statement from Amenfi west or whatever should be arrested and charge for inciting the civilians against our soldiers.

The relationship that is existing between the civilians and the soldiers, should remain as so because we are all Ghanaians. Remember that after the soldier leaves the military, he comes back into the civilian population, right or wrong?

So I believe the mp didn't say wrong here,as it's your right as a citizen to protect your privacy and to allow NOBODY on your property without a WARRANT for court.

The statement that Government has halted it's operations against illegal mining, and the call to face of with and probably assault law enforcement officers made by the Parliamentary Candidate are most unfortunate and inimical to the peace and stability of this country. And this is particularly serious because the statements were made in the presence of the Regional Minister, who is also the chairman of the Regional Security Council. This minister sat there as though unconcerned or perhaps even in agreement with the candidate.
