Personally, I wish the President didn't make this appointment on two grounds. First, unless the guy will maintain his current role as executive secretary and not take additional salary for the ambassadorial role, this appointment increases the cost of running the government. That's a very insensitive action to take in view of Ghana's current situation. Second, the appointment feeds into the narrative of family and friends government, not least bcz the President recently appointed dismissed Ofori-Ata to a similar role in respect of financial matters. However, if you tell me that the ambassador-at-large role is for hiding stolen wealth and dealing in cocaine, then my rational mind wants to know if the eminent Dr. Edward Mahama who previously held the role was used for such a purpose. Those who make or support this claim must provide a reasoned basis for their allegations and stop responding with insults. Your propaganda is becoming boring!
