What this "Imperial" Chief Justice is forgetting is that when this important arm of government is completely destroyed through corruption, partisanship, unconstitutionalism, nepotism, etc, the people will always find an antidote and an alternative. Then, we will all steam and squirm in the potpourri of shit sticks and beans that will emerge. After all God did not ordain democracy nor any particular form of government.

If you remove your political lenses and reason like a normal human being you will realise that this lady CJ is more partisan that her predecessors. Nana Addo during his presidency has nominated about 15 justices to the SC, have you ever heard that those people were recommended by any JC? All that we hear is the president on the recommendation of the Judicial council and on the advice of the Council of State has .........And please know that the judicial council is not the office of the chief justice.

Anytime one does anything contrary to what the constitution stipulates, it's deemed a violation and appropriate sanctions are spelt out for such violations. The process of appointment of supreme court judges is clearly written in black and white in the constitution. It's therefore very unfortunate, when the very person who leads that body would turn the procedure on its head and we don't see anything wrong? Ridiculous! Let's praise people like Prof Azar, who always educate us on such things rather than vilify them. There is nobody bigger than the constitution of Ghana including the CJ. Ghana deserves better. The image of the judiciary needs to be preserved. It is sinking too fast.

Appointment of such judges is done by the judicial council and not the CJ Even though the CJ heads that body, the CJ cannot unilaterally select judges as has been done on this occasion. Why are you calling for a constitutional amendment in this simple matter? I can't get this. Please remove the lenses you are wearing currently and put on the national lense. The picture would become clearer.

Kwaku Azar ís loosing it. It is a newspaper which mentions that the chief justice has submitted names. Then Kwaku you write a thesis. The judicial council submitted names but signed by the chairman who is chief justice

Such appointments, need to be vetted and ratified by either Parliament or a Judicial Committee, and recommended to the President for appointment. The Country is not in a position to throw money around in these difficult times. Appointments in these positions should be done on a needs basis,and not because they are your best friend.It won't happen,so don't get in a lather about it.

At times l shudder to think how a well educated lady with hindsight of tumultuous happenings in our judicial history will indulge and participate in acts that were responsible for the tumultuous situations here referred to. Unless she is under some form of siege like the Electoral Commissioner as suggested by Mr. Kwesi Pratt, I cannot bring myself to understand why people are simply unable to do the right things.
At her vetting, we all noticed how terrified she was and made it clear when the Second Deputy Speaker as chairman of the appointment committee made an example of calamitous scenario involving Madam Torkono's daughter. Madam can't you see your actions are driving us towards a situation we don't want to experience again. Please, please be bold for once Madam and do what is right and Ghanaians will remember you for doing so.
Most of us were hopeful when you were appointed and don't by your actions and inactions fail us.
