Since the current parliament is largely independent of the executive control and manipulation, those who are uncomfortable with its independence are desperate to use another arms of government to stifle its independence. They know the executive controls the other arm of government, meaning the judiciary, which should not be the case. Human governing humans is fraught with corruption, but the future looks bright, when this present world is done away with and the incorruptible universal government of the Lord Jesus Christ is established. That's our only hope, when corruption is dealt with and the Ruler of this world is bound in chains and cast into the bottomless pit.

Do they conduct town hall meetings to receive the opinions of their constituents before deliberating on laws? Tweaaaa. Checks and balances in governance must work.

I will ask everybody to watch the Video when Bagbin visited Otumfour- that was fantastic for nationalism.

We are having problems in our Democracy because of the blend of US- & the UK system of government.
I won't say the blending is not good,
but since the executive has taken control over everything, we may need another highest body that would be far away from the appointing authority of the executive.- that would make
1. the executive to know their limit of power and do things that would benefit the whole country instead of political party

2. it would make the judiciary work without favour

3. it would help parliament to get the free hand to make laws, free hand to check the executive, and free hand to ask the president to step aside if parliament feels the president is not function the way it suppose to do in the interest of Ghana as a country.

The country need more parliamentary education and we must thank Bagbin for initiating that.

That Chief Justice is a Julor House lackey. Those frivolous lawsuits suits should have been summarily dismissed as being premature instead of wasting tax payers' money setting up hearing dates on them. The Supreme Court can only review laws passed by Parliament for their constitutionality, but it has no authority to accept lawsuit challenging bills that are yet to become law. That Chief Justice has turned the Supreme Court into a clown court.

Bagbin should know that his arrogance and overbearing posture ends in Parliament. He is too small to dictate to the President and the Chief Justice. He became Speaker by default and not because he had any special qualities.
