Ecowas states can trade among themselves and be less self reliance and therefore put less pressure on the eco contrally to using diverse currencies. Inflation would be low as well as interest rates and fiscal as well as monetary disciplines would ne much controlled. Bawumia is talking pure nonsense!

Scaling up MoMo interoperability as we already have in Ghana to the continental level leaves the constraints of having one common currency in the dustbin of history. Each country can keep their local currency, but citizens can trade and transfer money across borders to any bank anywhere on the continent instantaneously. Where ever you are you can send and receive money in your local currency to anywhere on the continent. That is a leap of knowledge and vision only deep thinkers can understand.

Bawumia is a gift from God to Ghana. If we don’t utilize him another country would do. Mahama can’t compare his GCE A’Level Economics to Bawumia’s PhD economics. No way.
