Second the University of Science and Technology was in existence before Nkrumah came to power. Again the Kumasi Accra road as well as the railway network was in place before Nkrumah. But the CPP obtained 34 out of the 38 contested seats to ŵin the election. The Governor, Sir Charles Noble Arden Clarke then released Dr Nkrumah from prison to form the government. Under the constitution at that time, Dr Nkrumah became the Leader of Government Business. In 1952 the constitution was amended and Dr Nkrumah was elected Prime Minister by the Legislative Assembly. Please the Kumasi Gee and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology were built by Dr Nkrumah and his CPP government
