John Mahama is not serious. As one who read History for his first degree, he should have known that Ghana's main political rivalry is traditionally between NPP and the CPP. The NDC is a product of a bloody revolution that retrogressed Ghana's economic development for over 30 years. NDC can only boast of a 'coup' tradition, and why should well-meaning and patriotic Ghanaians glorify this awful tradition? Is John Mahama not knowledgeable about how Nkrumah sought to decimate the UP Tradition? How about his extremely cruel and unjustifiable incarceration of Dr J.B. Danquah which ultimately caused his untimely death in 1965? Didn't Nkrumah waste a chunk of Ghana's financial resources just to realise his vaulting ambition for making Ghana a one-party State with himself as life-President? Mahama says he (Nkrumah) was a visionary. Yes, he may have been so, but President Nana Akufo-Addo was more of a visionary leader. Ghana's overall population in 1960-'66 was never in excess of 6.5 million, but Nkrumah, budgetting for this tiny population, could provide free secondary school education for only the Northern territory. Today, Prez Akufo-Addo is budgetting for 32 million people, and through unprecedented foresight and skill in finacial management, is able to provide free SHS education for more than 3 million Ghanaian youth. Why then should NAPO, a key NPPist,shy away from glorifying Prez Akufo-Addo ahead of Kwame Nkrumah? Mahama says Akosombo dam is the foundation of Ghana's power supply. Why then did Ghana fall into darkness for 4 years under his watch as President? Mahama again asks whether in the event of the Accra-Tema motorway being blocked,any Ghanaian can travel in this country? What a childish and senseless poser! Do all Ghanaians living anywhere have to use the motorway to travel? I live in Accra and do not have to use the motorway to travel to my home-town, Akyem Abomosu. Neither will anyone use the motorway to travel from Kumasi to Sunyani.
