Ghanaians must vote for smart able thinker who can focus on industrial technologies, science, developments mass, and cheap productions like what China is doing. Africa is very rich continent. The main problem is the BRAIN. The Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese are using their brains. Science, Industrially Technologies are what Africans must look for like we see in China, Japan and Korea. China can feed the whole world, mass production and sell to entire world. Africa leaders can't use their brains. Why do we buy from China? We have the natural resources to produce for ourselves. Besides,Kwame Nkrumah quiet often meets some ordinary workers who are staying in rented homes and he sometimes spends the night outside the comfortable residence of Paa Grant.
J.B.Danquah was not happy about the way some workers union leaders come to visit Nkrumah and out of frustration he called all of them "veranda boys".
Infact,Nkrumah did sleep sometimes on the veranda of some friends because of political engagements.
I was fortunate to sleep on one of the verandas where Nkrumah spent his night.
Kwame Nkrumah was very worried and moved out of Paa Grant's house in Sekondi and settled at Mr Amoako's house in Takoradi.He later moved to Accra and started full time political activities to gain Independence for Ghana.Tnx.

During this period,the legislative council was just an advisory body,the Governor takes the final decisions.
Now listen,only urban residents who own properties were allowed to vote in places like Accra,Cape Coast and Sekondi.
Therefore,if you are a "veranda boy",it simply means that you have no right to vote.
Consequently,a new Constitution after 1948 riots in Accra was drafted.
Kwame Nkrumah and some CPP members made sure that the old law was abrogated to allow every citizen of age to vote.
This is the reason why in the 1951 Legislative elections,many rural areas in the Gold Coast were allowed to vote for the first time in Africa.Tnx.

This, therefore, was his basis for the pain he felt when it dawned on him that he had been deprived of (his) "my Tema Harbour", "my Akosombo Dam" etc.
