  Are NDC members for real? Running away from debate? Why are they running away? If they believe Bawumia is no match for Mahama what stops Mahama from debating Bawumia? In any civilized society debates between contesting candidates is the yardstick that the citizens use to decide on a choice. Recently the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump of the USA was a clear example that made democrats come to conclude that Joe Biden could not win the November 7, 2024, American election led to Biden stepping down for Kamara Harris to take over and believing it or not the Democrats are comfortable the candidature of Harris. NDC should do themselves a favor because that can prove the capabilities of Mahama other than that they should consider their party losing even before the elections are held. When it happens, they should not complain that the elections have been rigged.

  I find it very difficult to understand why Mahama is trying to avoid having to engage Bawumia in a debate. Was Mahama not the chairman of the economic management team some time in the past? Was he attending meetings just to eat biscuits? When did Adongo become the flagbearer of the NDC? You take Ghanaians for granted and you’ll pay for it. The stark aesthetic reality of a relatively older gentleman with face all puffed-up and a bright articulate and younger and vibrant looking opponent has got some people running scared.

  These NDC guys do they think through issues very well at all? As an opposition party worth your salt, you should rather seize the opportunity for a debate to challenge the status quo and demonstrate the superiority of your policies vis a vis those of government. However, as things stand now the only flagship program of 24 hour Economy that the NDC has put forward is a paralysed program which offers no hope for the teeming masses of Ghanaians who in my humble opinion, would be better of sticking with the NPP. For me the fundamental difference between Mahama and Bawumia is the the futuristic mindset of Bawumia compared to the power at all cost mentality of Mahama which if allowed to materialize, will only create the vehicle for these desperate NDC cohorts to plunder the nation's wealth.

  When Mahama was president, he refused to debate with anybody who had never been president before, and that is the stance they are peddling, still.
  Why should Bawumiah worry his head over this issue. He must just continue selling his vision to the populace who will decide the issue come 7th December. Mahama can wallow in his shallow pomposity, who cares? He knows that he has no place in Jubilee House come January 2025. He must beware that the people surrounding him will lead him to nowhere! Asiedu Nketia as chairman of ruling party? That is never acceptable in modern history!
