It pays to show gratitude to those who in the past looked after us, cared for us, served us helped us and often all for free and at great cost to themselves. These are the people we should honor when we make it big later in life. We may not be able to build them a house but we can help them in numerous other important ways.
But great wisdom is required when attempting to help people or those who have been a blessing to you. Remember that every attempt to help a person who is truly in need will also attract people who do not really need your help to survive or thrive but who feel entitled to your money or what you have. Trying to help everybody will soon deplete even the richest person. WIDOM IS NEEDED EVEN WHEN SHOWING GENEROSITY TO OTHERS.
Gratitude is lacking in the hearts of many. Too many folk have very short memories.

Most of the men in Ghana play less role in their children,s lives. ( I only know Ghana). Most of our fathers had multiple kids with different women, Most of these women are petty traders /market women or farmers . These kids see their mothers working in the market and or farms everyday. The fathers might be around but they do less . It should be noted that the few middle class in Ghana never allowed their kids to play soccer. It might be different now. Most of these kids came from homes where their mothers were the bread winners. Ghana men we need to step up.
