Does this man even listen to what he's saying? Mr Pratt, progress or development isn't measured by national debt. How many communities had potable water, electricity, good roads, school blocks, mobile network etc before the HIPC era? Mr. Pratt would even say Ghana in 1957 is better than today, but that will be the most insane thing to say. No matter the level of current hardship Ghana is 100 times more developed today than in 1957 when traders use to walk all the way from the North to Tachima and Kumasi to sell. Bicycles weren't even common not to talk of motorcycle or buses. My mom and Dad have made such road trips before. If you don't know go and ask those who experienced the past.

The sort or volume of debt contracted after 2016 where total debt was around 123 billions to 750 billions today, please do the maths and realized these people took over 500 billions cedis in loans with 7.5 years but what are the physical evidence of the loans usage? Let's not forget that asides these loans , government continues to collect tax from businesses and other royalties and dues. Sometimes l wonder what sort of people we are ad Ghanaians.
