If a doctor negligently causes the death of his patient, the doctor and or the medical facility must suffer a detriment, in this case, award for damages which is mostly monetary. This is the law. I used to think like you until I witnessed gross negligence from Nurses and Doctors at the same Grester Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge) that led to the untimely demise of a vulnerable lady father a month ago. The Doctors and the nurses at the Ridge hospital are simply negligent, heartless and above all unprofessional. I hope the ruling of the Court and the subsequent damages will serve as a relevant lesson to the general management and Board of Directors of the Hospital, the Ministry of Health and the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice as a whole.

My younger sister had twins in 2022.The pregnancy was 9mths old and she was about to deliver. Low and behold, when her time was due, she was rushed to the Bolgatanga regional hospital where she was told one twin was sleeping on the other. The medics for more than 24hrs did nothing until they both died in her womb.
The two boys were lost. She has been in grief since then.
I am thinking of resurrecting a legal case in this issue.
