The finance minister, sports minister should go to Dominica whose female long jumper won a gold medal, Alfred of st Lucia, tebogo of botswana....this gh team should go there and find out what they did to get t[ where they are. The prro lem is after doing their research and writing a report they won't even put that researched report to practice they are waiting for somebody from imf to come something for them so they can get the glory. Look if you are an athlete In Gh use the internet to reach out to foreign schools, contact the foreign embassies and go represent them.

Ex-President Kwame Nkrumah, was someone who laid so much importance and emphasis on preparations, preparations, and preparations.
The USA and others dominate sports because there is a well-oiled National Sports Program in those nations from Middle School Level up to The Professional Level.
Anyone who tempers with it is accordingly punished. And it is mostly severe.
USA recently jailed the National Gymnastics Coach 150 years for various improprieties including sexually touching Simone Biles, Lee, and others.
Until we quit fooling ourselves with corruption in high and low places in our land, Zero Olympics Medal will continually remain our portion.

They showed their faces to compete for us.It was all love for a nation that is yet to learn how to nature athletes and give them remuneration.Until we put in investments consistently into our athletes for at least 10 years we should not expect a medal.Not in these times when the games are very competive and known champions are being dethroned.We need structures and funding.This will encourage the youth to take sports knowing investing their lives in it will not be in vain.I appreciate their effort.Once upon a time almost all our athletes were emerging from the SHS.Now its the Universities.It shows that competition at the SHS Level has dipped.
