A similar case happened in the US when President Obama wanted to appoint new Supreme Court justice towards the end of his presidency but the Republicans voted against it and Trump who became the new president appointed the new Supreme Court judge just to have majority of the Supreme Court justices in favor of the Republican Party .
Akuffo Addo foresees that he will be prosecuted after leaving office and he wants to have as many Supreme Court justices aligned within the NPP to protect him when he leaves power . The people of Ghana will be the judges and not the Supreme Court after he leaves power .
