  U shouldn't have become dep minister in the first place. How can one exam overrule many exams teacher training have been offering. Npp govt has ended for at least 16yrs.

  These square picks in round holes ruling the country are the bane of Ghana's development. Just look at their logic: 4 years of teacher training is not good enough to make a teacher trainee a professional until he/she takes a 1-3 day licensure examination. How stupid can this reasoning be! The NDC will ensure that the curriculum makes the products professional by the time they complete the training. The trainees will remain frustrated and unprofessional if they lack basic tools and resources for professional teaching and learning as has been the case with the NPP government. The NDC will provide the needed resources to make teachers professional teachers. This Deputy Minister of Ignorance cannot understand this simple policy.

  You people are just backwards with a brain the size of peas. Why licensure exams for teacher trainees?
  When a teacher trainee completes his academic studies, he sits for a final exam to be qualified as a teacher . That exam must be equivalent to a licensure exam . But for them to be licensed fully they must pay a fee for their licenses which should be renewed every 7 to 10 years. Is the deputy minister implying that a teacher trainee after taking his final exam must take another exam for his license . So if this person fails his licensing exam, he cannot practice as a teacher and all his years of education goes to waste. What a waste of Human Resources . Ghana should stop imitating other countries. We have to cut our clothes according to our size .

  What you should cancel is promotion interviews and exams. Teachers wait for 4 to 5 years before they go for promotion then the unlucky ones fail and resit for 2 or 3 years making 7 years minimum for a new rank. This is unfair ...

Teachers wait for 4 to 5 years before they go for promotion then the unlucky ones fail and resit for 2 or 3 years making 7 years minimum for a new rank. This is unfair. If a teacher has no problem with his or her work then he or she should be promoted after the waiting years of 4 or 5 years.
