  All the bad things that our govts do, exist in all other countries. I must emphasize that Ghana is not an isolated case of the kind of bad governance that has left millions of our citizens in extremely poor - materially, financially and intellectually, conditions. The underlying problem is the lack of nationalism - in other words, the lack of love for kith, kin and country. This condition creates corrupt, criminal and incompetent politicians, an indisciplined unproductive working class and ultimately a mass of youth who become so frustrated and disenchanted at the prevailing situation that the only option left for them is to flee their beloved country - no matter what the consequences may be.
