John Mahama should’ve protected the military lands but he himself first broke the laws by encroaching to build a four bedroom mansion near the Burma Camp for himself in 2015.

According to the statement issued jointly by the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense in December 8th 2017—- “Mr Mahama should have protected the Armed Forces but “if you live in that area then you are giving others the impetus to do what they are doing” — This a statement of Ghana Armed Forces in 8th December 2017 as reported by the Daily Guide.   

“The former president now lives at the plush Chain Homes – a gated property next to Burma Camp. It’s believed that he has interest in it, hence constructing a first-class road to the property in order to give it high value. A four-bedroom apartment at Chain Homes goes for over $1 million.  Mr. Nitiwul said, “The way Armed Forces lands were handled I’m not happy about it. Mahama decided to sell some lands to some top politicians.

And it’s a shame. It’s not good. Within two years they sold every piece of land – over 300 acres of land to individuals in the top political hierarchy of the NDC party.
