Setting the price that high is quite dangerous for the sector. Once world market prices return to a state of normalcy again, such a farm gate price might very well bring COCOBOD completely to its knees financially.

Setting the price that high is quite dangerous for the sector. Once world market prices return to a state of normalcy again, such a farm gate price might very well bring COCOBOD completely to its knees financially.

What is needed is a complete reform of the cocoa sector and the departure from government monopolizing the value chain.
