  It is so astonishing that a country like Ghana could be overrun by lawlessness that galamsey, despite its menace to our natural water sources is allowed to be done with such impunity. Even there is some order in the wilderness more than the way galamsey issue has been treated in this country. It shows the level of incompetence and corruption of the Akkufo-Addo government and our traditional rulers. How could galamsey still be in business? What happened to our legal system to restore law and order in the country? The answer lies in the fact that it is our corrupt and irresponsible politicians and our traditional rulers who are perpetuating the criminal activity. Akkufo-Addo should be impeached for this daytime robbery of our natural resources. If the British or the Americans had been involved in this criminal act, the holier-than-thou African nationalist would have been crying wolf about neo-colonialism. The country looks so bad watching our resources being looted by these criminals without any thing to show for. No one is paying for this crime that is why it is still rampant, and we have incompetent and corrupt Akkufo-Addo as president.

  I cannot disagree with Dr Abbey on this subject. Our level of greed is really envied by lucifer himself. On a serious note we have to find a way to stop this menance. We are killing the future generations by killing our rivers that are lifelines for our people. Instead of our parliamentarians priority on saving the very people they represent, they are more interested in moving a legislation to allow them use serines to lord it over us. We should not wait for an uprising by our people to start bringing our politicians to understand that they are here to serve not to pleasure themselves.
