The Asantehene, as custodian of all lands in the Ashanti Region, must be bold to issue an order to stop galamsey in the Ashanti Region and stop talking about unnecessary things. The Dormaahene issued such an order and nobody has been able to give a permit for people to go to any land under the custodian of the Dormaahene. If the Asantehene really thinks well of his subjects, he must issue an order immediately. He should not think of the money and gold the galamseyers will bring to him.

This trend started in 1966 after the overthrow of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, when some Ghanaians who were educated in the western and Ghanaian universities were of the view that their counterparts from Eastern European countries are inferior.
I narrated an incident that happened some few years ago when some members of the Ghana Medical and Dental Council threw away the application by a Gynecologist, who was educated at the Patrice Lumumba Friendship University, Moscow, seeking the post of a specialist gynecologist at the Ridge Hospital.
It was a protest from a member of the interview board who was also a product of the same university that led to the other members accepting his application.
After the interview he came first on top.
I got to know recently that some intellectuals in Ghana are of the view that the products of he universities they attended are better than those from other universities.
