Please allow me to provide some clarification. Modern slavery encompasses elements of control, coercion, and exploitation, which are precisely the actions being perpetrated by these self-proclaimed prophets in Ghana and Africa as a whole. Anti-Slavery International further elaborates that modern slavery occurs when individuals are exploited by others for personal or commercial gain, resulting in a loss of their freedom, whether through deception, coercion, or force. These criminals manipulate vulnerable individuals by claiming that their family members are bewitching them, leading them to believe in these falsehoods. They then demand payment to supposedly liberate them, exploiting their fears and taking their money while stripping them of their autonomy.
The failure of African states to invest in human capital has created an this environment where these unscrupulous fraudsters, who label themselves as prophets, bishops, and other misleading titles, can thrive by preying on the weak minded and the vulnerable. This situation is further exacerbated by weak and stupid politicians including reckless undesirable presidents, instead of protecting the populace, endorse these charlatans. While you may be concerned about galamsey activities, it is worth noting that these fraudsters have been granted concessions that contribute to the destruction of our forests and the pollution of our water sources with toxic substances.

The December election outcome is like the two sides of a coin - Heads or Tails. So if two so called "Boys of God" come out to claim they are prophesying the outcome of the elections, do we have to waste any breath on their cheap propaganda? We surely should take them serious if they both placed their ministries on the line: "If my prophesy does not come to pass, then I declare that I am a false prophet!"

You summarised it nicely. The fundamental problem in Ghana today is that there is a very high demand for the version of "Christianity" these people peddle. The religion they promote is like street food- it is quick ,easy with very little effort required by those subscribing to it and readily available to all and sundry. The religion they offer is like instant coffee- no need to grind the Coffee beans or filter it before use.
If the Lord Jesus were to reappear in human form today, he would likely do so with a whip in hand visiting a lot of " churches" all over the world, perhaps starting in Ghana.

Anyone who has read the Bible will have noticed that the True Prophets of God speak the say message, and make the same prophecy. It is only when a false prophet comes in.who speak a message contrary to the message of the true Prophets of God. In Ghana, "Prophets" have predicated election results, football match results etc which never came to pass, yet people still follow them and call them prophets. What happened to the Bible?
