These guys might have taken the lead probably with a motor bike to assess the situation whilst communicating with the fire tender. You can see one of them is holding a handset and speaking with someone on the other end

These guys are not serious eeeiii. I don't get it, so what were they coming to do there? Just to observe? Whiles the fire keep burning? Well they were attacked but not beaten, they were fortunate. I think every Ghanaian should make their own mini fire tenders at home, or think about emergency cases like this because these fire service people here in Ghana will always disappoint you. I see a poly tank there but I'm not sure they have a tube. At least the tube used for spraying cars could do something at initial stage. Let's get estinguisher at home, it's important.

This nonsense must stop, some of these residents must be punished to serve as a deterrent to others. In Ghana almost everyone seems to know how things work and are quickness to point accusing fingers. Is it normal for situational assessment to take place whiles the fire tenders or other appropriate equipment are dispatched? Sometimes it’s not only a matter of pouring water on buildings but rather to a proper assessment to check if evacuation is needed, if it involves chemical spillage or other explosive material. Meanwhile, when you are asked not to construct buildings in public spaces that can be used for water hydrants, they foolishly ignore and flout all safety regulations.
