  If NPP is accommodating their PC being called a lair (Bawulair) by NDC, why can't NDC also accommodate Mahama being termed or called a drunkard? After all madam Mongtary had confirmed that Mahama's drunkenness is a necessitated medical opinion. NDC is actually fighting a defeatist fight. No policies no solutions, no interventions but only threads and attacks.

  All this nonsense has been planned by NDC and their surrogate organizations to force the ruling party to make mistakes like the gov't made in 2020, that resulted in the loss of 32 parliamentary seats. They are showing old pictures and videos showing destruction of water bodies and forests, while at the same time, John Mahama and other NDC members are promising illegal miners that he will release jailed colleagues if he regains power. Unknown to TUC, UTAG, CSOs, NCCE, Pastors, etc, that this is a political ploy by NDC, they have also jumped unto the bandwagon and are calling for a state of emergency that will result in hatred for the gov't. I can assure everyone who cares that NDC has planned all these schemes such that the government will declare a state of emergency and suspend small scale mining throughout the country. If that happens, the government will lose the upcoming elections, both presidential and parliamentary, and that's what they are looking for. Last weekend, the people of Akyem Asuom chased away all galamsey operators from their community because they were mining in the forest, and that ended the activities of these illegal operators. Almost at all galamsey sites, a vast majority of the people engaged in it are not local people. I rather think the best way to go about this is to allow the local chiefs and their people to go after these illegal miners, and that will be a permanent solution to the menace. I don't think declaring a state of emergency at this time is the right thing to do.

  Where is the president, Akkufo-Addo? Where is parliament to pass stringent laws to stop this? Where is the leadership to implement our laws? This is shameful and really frustrating. Shame on Akkufo-Addo. I know he does not care. However, his name will be enshrined in the history books as the president who supervised for the destruction of the country's water bodies and resources.
