Alhaj Abdul Manan is NOT an Islamic cleric, he is only a business minded Muslim. Let's be clear here, he has got no prove to back the claims he made. There are verses and Prophetic sayings that totally and completely condemn what the vice president did - if he is indeed a Muslim -, let's not trade our religion for political gains. Trust me, I am not in anyway against the vice president, I am, however, cautious about my religion. My religion (Islam) comes first before anything.
How I wish Alhaj Manan never said this. It's not befitting of a Muslim to support such behavior.
