The first ever demonstration I took part was in 1989 against the PNDC regime.
Among the leaders of that demonstration who were arrested was the late Comrade Jonny Hanssen. I am not sure if they were taken to court and charge for disturbing public peace.
I was instructed by the organization I represented that I should not under any circumstance allow myself to be arrested.
So a made sure that I was not arrested. I am not sure if the Kume Preko demonstrations in 1995 were staged with police permit.
All what is happening in Ghana today reminds me of how US and her Western NATO allies ban the demonstrations by the 99% of their population, but happen to export it into Arab countries, a demonstration they call Arab Spring.
It looks like NATO members and their stooges in Ghana fear springs and buds.
