If a CEO cannot use a Situational management concept and has to wait for a Government directive before the suspension of small scale mining licenses, then he has no business in this office or he is a beneficiary of some sort.

The extreme seriousness of this matter is that the galamsey site referred to is right on the banks of the Birim River at Anyinam. No wonder the once clean Birim River, the pride of Okyeman, is now an eyesore. The CEO of Minerals Commission should be telling the public what concrete steps he has taken to deal with the issue rather than lamenting over it. I do agree perfectly that leadership failure is a major cause for the worsening galamsey situation and the attendant destruction of our land resources and water-bodies.
