The problem here is that,the government officials are all involved in the mining business.
How to you give licenses to small scale mining and wants illegal mining to stop, it cannot work period.

Galamsey is a big problem. Even though Rawlings was not perfect, but this galamsey activities would not happen under his government. This type of corrupt activities some Ghanaian did during Rawlings regime and he dealt with them and they never liked him especially some of the Ghanaians who's grandfathers and fathers were engaged in such corrupt activities at the time Rawlings took over. Both Mahama and Kuffuor had some corrupt activities during their term, but Akuffo Addo is the worst president ever. Right now Ghana is corrupt beyond repair and who ever will try to come and fix the corruption will be attacked by the corrupt Ghanaians. Africans, blacks we have problem. May God help us change the corrupt and criminal activities in our brain. Sad.

DO not be myopic into thinking that there was no Galalmesey during Rawlings' time. Even in the heat of the revolution and beatings, Galamesey ruled. It is not a good thing but it is social media which has really exposed it more, which is a good thing.
