However, I disagree with your statement that this parliamentarian's proposal is foolish. Black people only think about today and not tomorrow, and I'm being blunt here. Healthwise, babies are being born deformed, people are suffering from kidney problems, etc., because of galamsey. Simply warning people to stop won't work when dealing with the Blackman. As Mr. Wise said, even these people evade apprehension by diving into river.

I don't know about you, but I prefer they're the ones shot versus another person dying from the deleterious effect of galamsey.

And while at it, I won't mind at all if our crooked leaders, both in the NDC and NPP, are lined up at the Teshie shooting range. They are complicit in this menace because they are directly or indirectly benefiting from it. Akuffo Addo could have put in place what he just announced seven years ago. Our leaders don't feel for anybody who isn't their relative or friend. The country could collapse under their feet, and they won't care. They have enough stashed offshore to care for themselves and relatives. I wish someone could give them what they deserve.

While there are no laws in Ghana supporting what the minister is proposing, it is a step in the right direction. The Blackman can only think about today and not tomorrow. Babies are being born deformed because of galamsey. People are contracting kidney and other health problems as a direct result of consuming galamsey-adulterated foods. Would you or your relative rather die or you would perfer the person poisoning our foods through galamsey to die?

Yes, people need work and resort to galamsey to survive because our leaders are stealing our resources and stashing them overseas. They open offshore accounts and shell companies to siphon off monies that are supposed to come to the country. They and their families are equipped for survival in a foreign country should the country collapse.

This is why I crave military takeover so these NDC and NPP crooks know there's a third option for us if all they care about is stealing what belongs to all of us and leaving us to dry.

Please Dr Nkrumah came to power to meet a restless youth who after independence were looking for non existing jobs. So Dr Nkrumah established the Workers and Builders brigades, state farms and industries to offer employment to the restless youth. Please before lndependence, Dr Nkrumah sent Kojo Botsio, his second in command and a Minister of so many portfolios and John Tettegah who became the Secretary General of the T U C to Israel to learn about the kibbutz and the Histadrut.Please see page 146 Kwame Nkrumah The Political Kingdom in the Third World by David Rooney or Page 204 Kwame Nkrumah Vision and Tragedy by David Rooney. Please the Government should ensure that those who are doing the mining should do re afforestation.Please it was Dr Nkrumah who established the Tarkwa Technical Institute and turned it into the Tarkwa School of Mines and now it is a university, UMAT.Please the government should continue to send miners to UMAT to learn proper mining so that they do the right thing.
